First blog

Hello.
Welcome to my first (ever) blog. I’ll be talking about transport, mainly in Greater Manchester and the north west. Don’t forget the website…www.transportmatters.co.uk.
As Mrs Merton would say….Lets have a lively debate!!!!!
Big thing on my mind at the moment is congestion charging (I know more about it than most) . Basically, I think it’s a good idea but I think they are missing one big thing …a refund through excise or fuel duty.
Roger Jones has convinced me of one thing, though. If you have a referendum and get a less than 50 per cent turn out, what will you do then?
