Amazing place this blogosphere. Who on earth wants to know what I think???
Actually, I’m being modest, of course you do.
I have been taken recently with the paranoia over motorway hard shoulders. I remember the time when people used to have a picnic there when they broke down.
But now you have to flee your car as if it is about the blow up..and if a Highways Agency pretend police car spots you, they’ll be there with a space blanket and a coffee while you stand in the pouring rain on the embankment.
Imiagine my surprise, therefore, to hear that Ruth Kelly is thinking of expanding the trial on the M40 to several other motorways!
I always planned to defy the namby pamby advice and stay IN my car but not any more because now you are guaranteed to get a wagon up your backside.
Here’s a revolutionary thought….if a motorway is full up…BUILD AN EXTRA LANE!!!!!
