A few thoughts from a curmudgeonly old hasbeen…
01/04/2008 by admin.
Yesterday, it was announced that Connectpoint PR, now a division of Hasgrove, has taken over the TIF bid public relations from SKV…
I was told specifically last August that SKV would continue with the account, despite a less than impressive record in the first three months leading up to the bid being deposited at the end of July 2007.
I wish Connectpoint well, I have some pals within that organisation. Indeed, I could claim some small contribution to its success, having invited one of its founders to spend a day at the M.E.N. when it was a two-man band and the idea of corporate entertainment was to buy me a MacDonalds at Birmingham New Street station.
It should do well with TIF, especially as it now has Dan McMullan on board, fresh from Communique where he worked for arch congestion charge opponents Peel Holdings.
Meanwhile, I have secured two jobs from among this £6m of consultancy fees swirling around….both paying absolutely nothing!!!!
