Back to the Transport Future
03/08/2008 by admin.
Heartfelt congratulations to the The A1 Steam Locomotive Trust, the registered charity that has now finished the first new main line steam locomotive in Britain for almost 50 years.
Does it have to be no more than an enthusiasts’ dream come true?
Why did we scrap all those old steam engines? Because diesel was cheap. It isn’t any more.
What is stopping us going back to steam engines? Because they burn fosil fuels. So do power stations.
What are we doing about power stations? Building more nuclear ones…..
SO ALL WE NEED IS AN EFFICIENT MEANS OF HEATING WATER IN THE BOILERS OF STEAM TRAINS. EASY!!!LITTLE NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS LIKE THEY HAVE IN SUBMARINES. PROBLEM SOLVED.
